Logo Bench: Can It Be A Marketing Tool?

Whether you operate a recreation business or a hospitality business, marketing and branding your facility is important. A logo bench can help you do just that as well as looking great. These benches can be made of many different types of materials such as wrought iron, metal and wood to match the feel or decor of your facility.

Here are some examples of where a logo bench could serve a great purpose:

Company Common Area
The common area can be defined as a courtyard in front of your building where many gather prior to meetings or convene once they are completed. If you already have seating areas available, take advantage of this unique branding opportunity and place a log bench or benches in his area.

Parks
All parks all of the way from state parks to city parks and even neighborhood parks can implement a logo bench or benches for their patrons to rest as they visit. A park bench can be made of many materials such as metal, iron and wood. The great part about being able to logo your commercial park bench is you can also have a logo trash can made to match!

Shopping Malls
This type of bench can help you promote the entire shopping area or simply promote one particular store. Many of the commercial benches are made for indoor or outdoor use regardless of the material in which it is constructed. So no matter if you are an indoor mall or an outdoor mall.

Golf Courses
If you manage a golf course or courses at a country club or a resort, then a logo bench is a must have at your facility. If you will print your name on a tee or put your logo on a pair of golf shoes, it only makes sense that you would implement logo benches on the grounds at your facility.

Golf Tournament Gifts

We are always getting questions about golf tournament gifts. Here are some examples that are used as golf tournament gifts at many golf outings:

Golf Caps As Golf Tournament Gifts
One of the most popular tournament golf gifts is a golf cap or a golf hat. Almost everyone wears a golf hat when they are playing golf or just bumming around town. Placing the tournament logo on the front of the golf cap can not only make for a great looking hat but will prove to be a marketing tool as it is worn in the future. In addition, you can personalize each golf cap by placing the name of each player on their own golf cap.

Polo Golf Shirts As Golf Tournament Gifts
Another popular gift for a golf outing is a polo golf shirt. After determining your budget, a golf polo shirt can be purchased at many different price points. A golf tournament shirt has multiple places to place a logo from the golf tournament or the golf tournament sponsor.

Although many golf outings use a short sleeve shirt as a tee gift, it is not out of the question to offer a long sleeve polo as a gift as well. Obviously, you will be more apt to go down this road depending on the location of your golf outing as well as the time of year in which it is held. This is a better idea the farther north that you go. Nobody wants to be handed a long sleeve polo shirt while in Phoenix in July!

Tee Gift Package As Golf Tournament Gifts
A golf tee package can put both a golf polo shirt and a golf cap. Many companies offer pre-determined packages. These packages are great for tournament directors as they determine how much money that can allocate form their budget to this expense and they can have several options given to them to choose from. Once the choice is made, the tournament logo is applied where applicable and can even be packed before being sent to the tournament site.

Restaurant Staff Uniforms

When you want to know why it is important to have restaurant staff uniforms, start with the fact that it does save your other clothes from getting totally messed up. It does give the public a feeling of confidence that they are being dealt with by legitimate employees. They also have a tendency to distinguish between types of restaurant jobs. Depending on the role in the restaurant the outfit might be very different. It gives a sort of pecking order for you as the patron to know who is who and what the roles are for each employee.

Most people in service industry jobs have to wear some type of uniform. The restaurant staff uniforms might have the employee name on it and in some cases it will not. It is totally up to the preference of the restaurant if names are included. Restaurant staff uniforms will tend to have them more times than not at least when you are dealing with the public in the front of the house and the cooks like to have them on in the back. So all in all, most staff will have them. The hostess is the one position that might be able to wear what they want as can the manager of the shop.

The two main types of restaurant staff uniforms as stated before are the front end and the kitchen end of the house. The uniforms for each are decidedly different and will have to be based on the appearance you are trying to give. If the kitchen staff is rarely out of the back they can be in simple whites, if they come out to prepare foods at tables they would be dressed a different way. As far as the front of the house the restaurant staff uniforms vary based on the atmosphere you are trying to establish for the restaurant. Sometimes it is based on the type of food served and other times it is based on the casual or formal atmosphere of the establishment itself.

On a more personal level, maybe you are looking for a logo memorial bench. Whether you are remembering a person or an event, with the current technology a logo bench can reflect anything that you would like for it to reflect. By taking a picture of an individual, a wooden memorial bench can be made with the picture burnt very cleanly into the wood. If deciding to go with a metal bench then a silhouette could be made from the picture.

Golf Tournament Planning Needs To Happen Early

There are many different types of golf tournaments or outings. For example there are charity golf outings, corporate golf outings and country club golf outings. Depending on the type of golf outing that you will host, the golf tournament planning that the tournament director has to do can vary drastically. Here are just a couple of things to consider as you plan your tournament.

Goals
Golf tournament planning always takes longer than you think. You will need to decide what your goals are for the golf event. Obviously the goals will be different for a charity golf tournament that is attempting to raise money for a cause or for a scholarship than a company golf outing that is attempting to entertain clients or fellow business peers.

Budget
This may sound like your dad may be talking to you about golf tournament planning. However, I have seen many tournaments get into a financial bind as they do not have a roadmap or a budget to follow as they put everything together. Your tournament budget will include all revenues from players and sponsors as well as all of the expenses from the golf course usage, tee gifts, awards, food and beverage and others.

Golf Course
Selecting a golf course is an important part of the golf tournament planning and can help and/or hurt the participation to the event. The final selection should be made with both your goals as well as your budget in mind. Having not done a golf event before, a question that you will want to ask before making your final decision is if the facility has any scheduled maintenance during or even prior to the event.

Format
A scramble is the most common format for a corporate or charity event. A scramble has everyone in the group hit a golf shot. The group then decides which ball they would like to play and they all hit form that spot. This process is repeated until the golf ball is holed. This format keeps everyone on the team involved in the round and is fun for all.

Registration
Before you begin marketing your event you will want to determine how the teams can sign up to play in your event. You will want to have this very organized or it will make for a very long day for the tournament director the day of the event. In addition, it will be important to setup procedures for collecting all of the funds and securing the funds from teams to play in the event. Securing the funds is not an item that you as the tournament want to overlook and is easy to implement with the proper golf tournament planning.

Tournament Promotion
Once all of the above is taken care of, you cannot begin to promote your event too early. The marketing plan should be determined as the budget is being developed. This golf tournament planning will then give you how many funds are going to be available for promotion. If you are a charity, you will want to take advantage of any media outlets that can assist you either through websites, newspapers or television. Many times you can do this without having to spend any money.

Outdoor Furniture Decisions

If you are considering timber as your outdoor furniture choice it will take a little longer to be affected by the UV rays. Eventually, however, it will also begin to show the various signs of sun damage. Therefore, when you are purchasing outdoor furniture for your facility you need to be sure that it has a range of UV protections. This will help prolong the life of your furniture.

Not only can the sun cause damage to your outdoor furniture so can water. This is just not normal everyday rain that can cause damage to your outdoor furniture that you need to think about but also all the snow, dew and ice as well. Damage can even be caused by hosing the furniture down for everyday cleaning. Therefore, your outdoor furniture needs to be at least water resistant but also preferably weatherproof as well.

Water resistant simply means that water under the normal circumstances will not affect your furniture over time. If your furniture becomes soaked for any long periods of time the water resistance will break down and begin to damage your furniture as a result.

When you are looking into outdoor furniture you can decide between three of the best options that are available today. The modern plastics today are not only UV protected but also are waterproof. However, there are a couple of drawbacks to purchasing this type of furniture. First of all, they can appear to your customers as cheap in appearance, which is not what you want to portray as it can carry into your business reputation as well. Second it does not bear weight very well, which means it is not very durable and can end up costing more in the end through replacement costs. Another choice that falls into the plastics category would be laminating. The laminates are both UV protected and water resistant. They also tend to hold up better than the plastic furniture.

Golf Tournament Gifts

Throughout the year many different golf outings are held at country clubs and resorts all across the country. Many of these golf outings will offer golf tournament gifts to all of the participants in the field. So how can you make sure that the golf tournament gifts are in line with your event?

Here are some suggestions that will allow you to choose the best golf tournament gifts for your event:

1. As you first begin planning for the event, create a reasonable budget for all revenues and expenses including your golf tournament gifts. If running a charity event, this small but very important step could mean the difference between you making a nice donation and making a great donation. Many companies offer special golf gift packages for this very reason and you can make your tee gift very nice without breaking your budget.

2. Brand your tournament or event with a logo. What? You do not have one? Not a problem. Many companies selling golf tournament gifts will create you a customized tournament logo for free or just a small fee. These are quality eye-catching logos that look great and will raise awareness for your event. You can then use this logo on all correspondence through paper or email for your event as well.

3. Exceed the players' expectations right off of the bat! There is only one chance to make a first impression and where better to do it than to hand them their tee gift pack right at the registration table.

4. Do not limit yourself. Do not be afraid to give golf gifts that can be used on and off of the golf course. Especially if your tournament has a theme. The more a player can use his or her gift, that more exposure it will be for you and your tournament. With this in mind you will want to select gift options that they can wear year round.

Commercial Outdoor Furniture

We are trying to determine if we should use wood or rattan or wicker for our commercial outdoor furniture. Do you have any info you can pass along?

Wooden Furniture

Commercial outdoor furniture made of wood is very popular and tends to last longer than other materials. Wooden deck furniture can withstand the elements such as rainy weather seasons as well as very hot summers. It is important to treat your wooden outdoor items with water resistant coating materials in protecting it from drying out or becoming damaged. Wooden items are a great choice for entertaining due to the strong foundation of the furniture. The flexibility of various looks with this type of furniture is endless. You can paint the furniture, add new varnish, or maybe even throw in some comfortable cushions to provide a more comfortable feel for your customers. High quality wood products for the outdoors can come with a hefty price tag but if you maintain the wooden deck furniture, it can last a long time.

Rattan and Wicker

If you want to provide more of a variety for your customers, rattan or wicker would be a great choice for your commercial outdoor furniture. Rattan and wicker are the second popular material for this purpose, which consist of natural materials. Both materials are flexible allowing you to use the furniture indoor or outdoors. Wicker is in all actuality not a single material it is however, the result of rattan after the material has been weaved along with other materials.

Rattan is a material made from a tree. Rattan is found within tropical regions of Africa, Australia and Asia. The rattan vines are cut from the tree and peeled, then steamed to make them more pliable. Rattan is typically used for weaving materials. Rattan is very susceptible to pain and stains similar to other kinds of woods. It is available in various colors and can be shaped or formed into various styles.

Outdoor Round Trash Can

We are looking to purchase some new commercial trash cans. Are their benefits to implementing an outdoor round trash can around our facility?

We would be happy to help you with this and look for other info on our blog. In addition, feel free to submit any other questions that you may have!

An outdoor round trash can is easier to empty. Because of the lack of any edges to it all the waste and trash in the can comes out easily unlike a square or a semi circle trash can where the trash may remain stuck to the edges and difficult to come out. A little tug to what’s left behind and all the trash will come out without any hassles.

An outdoor round trash can is a great utility. Be it in restaurants, outdoor malls, ballparks, resorts, movie theatres and many other public places, an outdoor trash can is an indispensable unit anywhere. Trash cans come in a variety of shapes, sizes and materials. However, a round trash can is better suited and better to use than trash cans of any other shape.

The main purpose of a trash can is that it is helpful in collecting and accumulating trash. Trash cans today are available in a number of shapes, sizes, material colour etc. They are available in round, square, semi round, in steel, wood, plastic etc. Most important of all these is the shape of the trash can. However, the trash can that you choose depends on your need.

The properties that one seeks in a trash is this that it accumulates in it a maximum amount of waste be it of any kind; it is one where you do not have to touch the actual waste; it is easier to empty and clean and one that does not require too much of maintenance.

A round trash receptacle can serves all of the above mentioned purposes and offer many benefits to your facility.

Table Base

A good table base can come in a lot of different sizes, finishes, shapes and materials. Specific bases are designed to hold specific table tops. A good table base needs to be able to hold the weight of a table top. For example, if you have a marble item then getting a wooden product would not be the best match because it would not be able to hold the weight very well and it might be unstable. The best type for marble would be wrought iron because it is very strong and durable.

So, before you begin searching for a great table base, make sure that you know what type of material you need this for because there are many different types such as glass, wood and granite.

A great table base should be strong enough to hold the material the top is made from and support whatever you might be placing on it, it should be durable and hard wearing especially when it comes to a restaurant or a bar because of the amount of use it will have. A great frame also has to be stable; it is no good having a wobbly component because whatever you put on the table top will fall! The unit also needs to be easy to clean and should match a table top.

Bases come in many different materials that include wrought iron and other metals such as cast iron. Wrought iron is probably the best type of material to be used in bars and restaurants because the material can provide a stable and weighty base and the material is hard wearing and durable. Table wrought iron bases and furniture were originally used hundreds of years ago but the material is still just as popular today as it has ever been. Wrought iron bases can also come in many different shapes, sizes and designs and can also be made to fit various different table tops.
Cast iron also makes a great base because it is just as strong and durable as wrought iron and can be styled, designed and made to fit many table sizes.

So what makes a great table base? It must fit with the table top, be sturdy and firm, be strong and durable and if you are planning to use outside then it must be weather proof. Another good thing about wrought iron is that if it gets rusty it is easy to paint over.

Round Trash Can

A round trash can has the volume to carry maximum amount of trash and waste. The circumference of a round trash can offers it the functionality to be able to carry more waste compared to a square or other shaped trash can.

Round trash cans are available with a swinging top whereby the person putting the waste into it does not have to actually touch the can. The waste can just be dropped into the trash can without having to touch the actual trash can. Circular trash cans are also available having a dome shaped open top which makes putting the trash inside the can easier without having to touch the actual can.

It is comparatively easier to clean a circular trash can. Since, it does not have edges to it, its cleaning is simpler and there is no residue or any dirt left behind sitting along the edges inside the trash can.

Similarly, a round shaped trash can is easier to empty. Because of the lack of any edges to it all the waste and trash in the can comes out easily unlike a square or a semi circle trash can where the trash may remain stuck to the edges and difficult to come out. A little tug to what’s left behind and all the trash will come out without any hassles.

Round trash receptacles are easier to carry around. Because of their shape they can be easily picked up and placed where required. They are hassle free to be carried around. They do not occupy much space. They fit snugly in any corner.

Finally, a trash can classically have been found to be round in shape. If you use a circular trash can it will be immediately identified as a trash can. Thus, a round trash can is much better suited and efficient when compared to trash cans of any other shape.

Outdoor Furniture Benches

Many different businesses can implement outdoor furniture benches that fill many different functions. Whether outdoor furniture benches are used for strictly decorative uses or used in high traffic commercial areas, wrought iron benches can fill the bill and maximize your investment.

Examples of different types of businesses can use outdoor furniture benches include:

Outdoor Benches

Outdoor benches are a great addition to your restaurant, resort or country club but the process of buying them can sometimes be tedious. Before you begin your search, you may want to ask yourself a few questions to narrow your search.

First of all, you will want to think about where you are going to put your outdoor benches. Will they be placed in a waiting area for seating for your restaurant or are they going to be used as a decorative piece around a club or a resort? This most likely depends on what kind of functional purpose they will serve.

If you are looking for something practical to use as a place for customers or members to wait prior to be seating, you will probably want to go with outdoor benches that are sturdy and comfortable, like wrought iron. You can make them comfortable as well as integrate the indoor theme into your outside area.

If you want something more decorative to use at your country club or resort, you will then have to decide what kind of style you want. Do you want something a modern look, country look or something with a classic design? The type of theme that you have running through your restaurant, clubhouse or resort will be a factor that you want to consider when making your selection.

If your facility uses more classic designs, classic perennials and shade trees, look great with classic outdoor wrought iron benches. If you have a simple, modern garden consider investing in benches that have a custom, artisan look to them. Stone or rustic wood benches look wonderful in this setting. Whatever your facility's design or theme, outdoor benches are available in many options to fit your needs.

Deck Furniture

We are going to replace our deck furniture around our swimming pool. The current pool furniture that we have is very outdated, old and just simply worn out. We are not in any hurry to buy something tomorrow and want to take our time to make sure that we make the correct purchase for the facility. Any suggestions for us?

While planning your strategy in choosing the perfect deck furniture for your resort, park, hotel or country club, do not forget to prioritize. You need to pick the type of material your new items will be made of. Common materials used in this venture are wood, rattan, metal, plastic and wicker. Depending on your facility, some types may work better than others for you.

Hospitality managers on the quest for patio deck furniture for their facility will learn very quickly that finding the perfect fit can be a very tedious task. There are many types of styles made from many different types of materials. Choosing the right material depends on what the manager/owner feels his/her clients will like as well as the personal taste of the facility shining through. The climate as well as the amount of humidity or lack of humidity in your area of the country may make one material better than another. You will also want to consider other factors such as if your deck is covered or is uncovered. In addition, do not forget your budget.

Patio furniture made of wrought iron is very popular and tends to last longer than other materials. Wrought iron deck furniture can withstand the elements such as rainy weather seasons as well as very hot summers. It is important to treat your wrought iron outdoor items with water resistant coating materials in protecting it from drying out or becoming damaged. Iron items are a great choice for entertaining due to the strong foundation of the furniture. The flexibility of various looks with this type of furniture is endless.

You can paint the furniture and throw in some comfortable cushions to provide a more comfortable feel for your members, customers or guests.

Outdoor Restaurant Furniture

We have built a new outdoor area on our restaurant. We are going to be buying some outdoor restaurant furniture to allow some casual outdoor dining. We are thinking of wrought iron furniture but would like to hear your suggestions. Thanks in advance for your help!

Firstly, the most important question when choosing outdoor restaurant furniture is whether the furniture provides the level of comfort that the guest is looking forward to. It is one of the most important functions is that it must be comfortable. If it does not provide comfort and if it is not relaxing, then the furniture does not serve its purpose.

Also, when buying outdoor restaurant furniture you need to delve into the material that you need to buy. Before making a choice on the kind of furniture that you want to buy you need to consider the various kinds of material that are available in the market.

The first thing that comes to most people's mind with the mention of outdoor furniture is wood. However, you need to know that wood is subject to rot and infestations in the long run. However, certain kind of wood like cedar is not only pretty looking but is also waterproof and can be great as outdoor restaurant furniture.

Another option is metal. Even metal is subject to rusting and corrosion. Here you need to utilise wrought iron instead of cast iron as it does not rust faster. The same goes with aluminium and stainless steel.

Depending on your facility and the how casual you want to be, plastic is also one of the options to choose from. They can make great furniture because they can be moulded into any shape. Further, they are safe from corrosion, rust, rot and infestations. This type of furniture is easy to move if your need to change the set up of your facility often or to store them seasonally.

Outdoor Trash Cans

We are looking for new outdoor trash cans for our facility. It seems like our staff can not keep up with the current cans that we have implemented throughout our property. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Today, many types of outdoor trash cans are available suiting every need and every volume of trash. They come in various sizes and shapes. You just need to choose the correct one. There are outdoor trash cans available which come with a wooden or other attractive cover. Therefore, instead of looking like a trash can, it can become a decorative piece and looks nice. At the same time it performs its functions of collecting trash.

One thing about outdoor trash cans which is important is that they must be able to be found. If they are too well hidden to where your customers cannot find them, then you will not have their help keeping your facility clean. If your members are anything like some of the ones that I have had, many may find it revolting to actually touch the trash and place it in the trash can for fear of dirt and germs. With this being said, I have found better success with an outdoor trash can that did not have a lid involved. This gives them no excuses. Trash cans with an opening on top with a tray for butts on top have worked the best for me in the past.

The size of an outdoor trash can is particularly important. It should be big in size because these cans are typically placed in high traffic areas around the country club, hotel, park or resort. Although it may sound funny to you, selecting the proper placement is also important. They should be put in places where they are easily visible and accessible.

Keeping separate trash cans for dry and wet waste is also important as their recycling becomes easier. With everyone trying to go green, it is important to have recycling cans available for your members, customers and guests.

Gas Deep Fryer

Our concession stand at the golf course needs to replace our deep fryer. In doing our due diligence, we were wondering about a gas fryer vs. an electric fryer and which one is more economical to use in our operation. Any advice for us?

Since gas deep fryers work on LPG and NG they help to save electricity costs and therefore are very economical.

A gas deep fryer is a piece of equipment that helps to deep fry food items and works on gas. It is useful in commercial setting such as in restaurants, concession stands or snack bars where there is a high volume of food items that require frying at one time. Since the fryers are deep they allow a large quantity of food items to be fried at one time. Therefore, you do not end up frying small quantities at regular intervals. The deep gas fryers therefore prove to be economical in the long run as they help to save oil and the gas cost.

A variety of deep gas fryers are available in the market that allow you many different options. The gas deep fryers available come equipped with chrome plated mesh basket that makes the picking up of the items that are placed to be fried in the fryer simpler and convenient. Depending on the size of your unit, they can contain two or three fryers where you can fry two or more items separately in two different fryers. These units typically contain different temperature settings to give you optimum use of the way that you want to fry.

Some gas fryers that are available in the market go off after a certain temperature limit is reached. Thus, it helps you not to burn the oil. Burnt oil gives a different odor to the food and can change the taste of the food. However, the function where the gas fryer goes off after attaining a certain temperature is very useful to maintain the taste and odour of fried food.

Wrought Iron Furniture

We are looking to redo our outside bar area. Can you give me some information about outdoor wrought iron furniture? In particular information about bar furniture and any other furniture that could be used to enhance the outdoor bar area.

Outfitting the bar area with wrought iron bar stools will make sure that your customers are comfortable. Although these pieces are sturdy, they are easy to move for seasonal businesses or areas that need to re-set for various events. This makes wrought iron furniture very versatile.

Wrought iron benches are another way to increase the seating in an area. These metal benches can be used in or around outdoor sitting areas at public parks, outdoor malls, public parks and driving ranges. Due to its high tensile strength, this material can be made into many different looks from very modern into a very classic look. In addition, this material can be stamped or forged out in regular patterns with raised and sunken edges.

Outdoor trash cans are also known as trash receptacles and they can complement the furniture that you have chosen for your area. Trash cans made of this material can have patterns put on them to make them look decorative. They do not need to be big and be an eyesore for the area. They can help carry your theme through the area. Believe it or not, wrought iron outdoor furniture is also affordable. Even though it is one of the most popular options when it comes to patio and other outdoor furniture, it is also extremely cost-effective.

Wrought iron furniture will last you a long time without needing to take a lot of your time for care. Some companies selling commercial wrought iron furniture even offer a 15 year warranty. With this kind of assurance, you can simply choose the designs that you like, set them up outdoors and then basically leave them there to look great and to take care of your customers.

Practice Facility

Having good turf on your practice tee is a must. Obviously it does not matter how clean and organized the practice facility is if the turf on the practice tee is nonexistent. This will depend on many variables such as the amount of available practice space verses the amount of activity on the tee. Having an open communication with the greens superintendant is important so he or she understands the need to keep the turf in good condition. In addition, it is important to properly rotate the hitting stations to spread out the wear patterns every day and I have had to do it twice a day at one facility.

Here are a couple of pieces of practice facility equipment that can help you upgrade your practice area:

Practice Facility Bag Stands
In creating multiple hitting stations, your members and guests will need somewhere to place their golf bags as they practice. A metal bag stand can come in many forms to give you different looks. Some are heavy enough you can just place on the turf and or you can opt for a spiked bag stand. In addition, you can find a stackable bag stand as they are easy to store during the off season for the northern clubs or while the practice tee is being mowed.

Practice Facility Pyramid Stackers
A nice look to present to your members and their guests on your practice tee are done with pyramid stackers. The best way to do this is to have your staff create the pyramid on the pyramid tray and then provide another tray with range balls as well. This will help the pyramids to stay intact for a longer period of time. The pyramids are easy for your staff to construct as all that is required is that they place the stacker on top of the tray and dump range balls into the unit. This will create the pyramid and your staff member will only have to stack a few on the very top if any range balls at all.

The practice facility is not an area to be overlooked as it will make a statement about your overall facility. It is an opportunity for you to make your members happy and to make some of your guests, your club's members.

Restaurant Patio Furniture

We are looking to add an outdoor eating area to our facility and are interested in some restaurant patio furniture. We are trying to figure out what type of material that we would like to use. Cost is a concern to us. However, if the restaurant patio furniture will allow us to make more revenue by creating this area, we are willing to pay a little more now to not have to pay again later.

We would suggest using wrought iron patio furniture. No matter what your current theme of your facility is this type of restaurant patio furniture will match.

Not only is wrought iron a durable material to use for commercial patio furniture, it is also easy to clean and maintain. You can simply clean wrought iron outdoor furniture with soap and water. As you or your staff is doing this, it is a good time to also inspect the furniture for cracking or pitting. Once this happens you can use some touch up paint so the piece of outdoor furniture will not rust.

Obviously, the amount of commercial patio furniture that you will order will vary depending on your outdoor space and the experience you want to give your customers. Restaurant patio furniture is typically bought in larger quantities. Buying in larger quantities will typically allow you better pricing for your purchase. With this being said, buy what you need. Placing too much furniture in a space does not allow for a good customer experience and is difficult on your staff.

Another advantage to wrought iron patio furniture is that you can easily change the look or theme of your facility by simply replacing the cushions. So what we are trying to say is that if you take care of the wrought iron you will be purchasing cushions long before you will have the need to buy more outdoor furniture. This will make the purchase cost effective for you and your facility.

Wine Refrigerators To Keep The Best Taste Of Wine

Drinking wine has become very popular. As a matter of fact, it is easier to learn about various wines through local vendors or the internet than ever before. Wine refrigerators are large and small are being used in restaurants, country clubs, resorts and even homes.

Wine refrigerators are available in varying sizes. Its capacity also varies along with its size. Refrigerators with varying shapes also comes into market, which can be kept at many places as per your convenience, such as at top of the table, underneath a table, underneath a counter, bed-side etc. There are larger models also available which can manage to have a larger number of bottles at same time. These types of models are suitable at clubs, hotels, restaurant and party halls etc. Depending on its size, it can hold from 20 up to 60 bottles at a time. Locks for security, height-adjustable-slide-out-shelves and digitalized temperature controls are some of the additional features available in market now a days.

When considering a separate and dedicated storage and cooling space for wine, the best recommended way is to have a
wine refrigerator. By using such a unit, you can also be sure about the taste of the wine be superior every time you have it. While using a wine refrigerator, keeping the temperature a bit low than the desired temperature will give a good taste to the wines. A separate space like this will also make sure that odor of other food items are not combined or mingled with that of wines.

In a
wine refrigerator, the bottle should always be kept upside down so that its cork does not get dried and shrunk after a given point of time, which allows air inside the bottle. There are some models with multi cabinet facilitated in setting different temperature in each of them. In these models, apart from the chilling cabinet, some of them have a storage space. Before you drink or when you plan to drink, you can change one for the bottle from chilling cabinet to this storage cabinet where you can set a little more warmth, which will give you a better taste.

Kegerator For A Snack Bar Or Concession Stand

I am looking to add some new bar equipment to our concession stand. We have been doing quite a bit of research in kegerators. We would like to begin to offer beer at our locations. Now the one question comes into mind is how long does the beer in a keg stay fresh?

Well, if your kegerator lines are cleaned and if your unit is working properly then you can keep a beer staying fresh up to 6 months. But the very important thing is the selection of kegerator.

When you are looking to implement a beer dispenser at your golf course snack bar or concession stand you should need to know what type of kegerator you want. Some are tall and some are half height but it depends on you. If you want to store 4 or more type of beers at once then you should go for half height because of its size. Once you have decided upon the size and style that you want for your home bar draft system installation, start searching for the unit you want to either buy or convert to draft dispensation.

You should always clean the unit on a timely basis. There are many cleaning kits in the market that you can choose from that will get the job done. Kegging beer is not a difficult task but you need to know the process from any expert one at the initial stage. If you are having trouble with your beer keg refrigerator, do not panic. Regular cleaning of your beer lines is essential to keeping your beer keg refrigerator in top shape, but there is always a chance that you have a damaged O-ring somewhere along the line. This is easy to fix. It may be that you merely need to adjust your CO2 gas settings. There are many brands in the market but the brand selection is completely up to you. But you should go for the reputed brand name because they don’t want to lose their brand value.

Under Counter Refrigerator To Create More Work Space

A under counter refrigerator will always make sure that you get more space and manage it more efficiently. How do you get more space? Well, it is very simple. This type of unit goes beneath any table or a counter or a worktop, which obviously means that the space above table or a counter can be used for any other normal purpose, just like another extended workspace. Depending on your counter or table size, you can choose the type of under counter refrigerator you will need to buy.

When you design a kitchen, a bar counter or a commercial food counter, one of the main consideration you would want to give is about managing space with an under counter refrigerator. Space has always been an invisible challenger while designing a unit. And it is not easy to manage space in an optimum manner. Every elements to be kept in the proposed or planned unit has equal importance in terms of space, an interesting element would be a refrigerator, which is normally the biggest space consuming element in a kitchen or a counter. Where to fit in the refrigerator, what type of refrigerator you should purchase; all these are different situation you face during your designing. One of the better way to handle this situation is to go for an under counter refrigerator.

Purchase of an under counter refrigerator, with out proper planning or analyzing the space can create trouble after your purchase. You should, in advance, decide the size of refrigerator you are gong to buy, or make sure that you have enough space where you can fit in the refrigerator you are going to buy. This means, if you have not identified a place before your purchase, your kitchen must have a space to fit in your refrigerator which you are going to buy.

Checklist To Purchase Outdoor Furniture Chairs

As you are updating your facility with outdoor furniture chairs there are several thing that you should be aware of so that you make the best possible choice for you members or customers.

Here is a list to get you started to pick the best outdoor furniture chairs to fit your needs:

• See whether the seat is at a comfortable height when compared to the table. A seat too high or low in respect to the table would not be encouraging for a relaxed atmosphere.
• Check your outdoor furniture chairs for comfort. Do sit on them and even pull them closer to the table as you would while dining.
• Also check the heights of the armrests in respect to the table, they should not be very high as it would make it uncomfortable for the guest to be able to pull the chair close enough to the table.
• The armrests should be comfortable.
• The chair seats should be spacious.
• The back rest of the chair should be angled to the right degree.
• The cushions should be comfortable with ample padding and should also fit the outdoor chair’s seats properly.
• Before deciding on your order for outdoor furniture chairs, remember to check the store pieces thoroughly for overall quality.
• The wooden furniture should have closely fitted joints. Any gaps are a sign of bad workmanship.
• The welded joints should be clean and understated. The better thing would be if they are ground and covered to match the furniture.
• Check for a smooth and uniform finish all over irrespective of the material used to make the outdoor chair.
• The nuts and bolts should be concealed or at least capped to protect from moisture and rust.

Keep these few things in mind to choose better looking and long lasting outdoor furniture chairs.

Patio Furniture Chairs Can Update Your Facility

Many clubs are looking for ways to retain the members that they have let alone trying to gain new members in this economy. Updating your patio furniture chairs can make a statement without breaking the bank as you are looking to instill in your membership that they are getting a great value and experience for their money.

Durability:
Before you decide upon the material for your patio furniture chairs find out about their durability. Expensive wooden and wrought iron furniture last a long time with some extra care. You can even change the entire look of your iron furniture by simply changing the cushions. In commercial establishments like hotels, resorts, golf and country clubs, the stackable patio furniture chairs may need to be moved a lot for various functions. Plastic, aluminum and wicker furniture are lighter and easy to move around. However, they are not useful in windy spots. Wooden, wicker and iron furniture give an elegant look and add style to the furniture settings. Plastic furniture though cheap is not very durable and loses its looks in a couple of years.

The Look
Before choosing your patio furniture chairs think about the look you want for your outdoors. Each of the materials, look and feel different. Wooden furniture looks completely natural in outdoor settings. Even the different kinds of woods give a different look. Similarly wrought iron furniture gives a very graceful look and is found in multiple finishes and colors. The wicker chairs have a very warm and cozy feel to them. Aluminum furniture is also an option and also comes in various colors and finishes. In case you already have some patio furniture chairs, choose the new chairs to match with them.

If you already use wrought iron outdoor chairs, you can give them a new look and feel by simply changing the covers on them. This would again show your membership that you are upgrading the facilities while you will not be breaking the bank.

Golf Launch Monitor Questions

As the spring is near, we all thinking how we can improve our students’ golf swings. A launch monitor is a great way to help you improve your students swings as well as create a new revenue stream for your club.

With this being said, what do you need to know before you purchase a launch monitor for your country club, golf course or teaching academy? Here are three places to start:

· Is the launch monitor technology leading edge or obsolete?
May sound funny to ask this type of question but think about your computer. It seems like as soon as you purchase it, something is out there bigger and better. You will need to determine what is best for you and your situation. If you are purchasing a personal launch monitor, then this may be fine. If you are looking to use the unit at a golf academy then you will want to be as up to date as possible.

· Contact existing users of the product for candid opinions of which monitor they use and what has their experience been like.
I have done this many times and have even been invited to make a visit to watch it in action. Everyone has a different space and different challenges. I found that I usually learned more about the unit from these visits than anything else.

· Evaluate the total cost.
When you are looking at purchasing a larger golf swing monitor, what else are you going to need to make it operate properly? Some launch monitors require to be connected to a computer or a lap top. You may need more computer power (memory, etc.) than you currently have available to you on your current computer. You will also want to make sure of all of the cords that need to be purchased in order properly connect the unit.

Patio Furniture Chairs For Your Country Club, Golf Course Or Resort

As you are doing your homework to find the best patio furniture chairs to fit the needs of your country club, golf course or resort, here are some of the decisions that you will need to make before you make your purchase.

1. Materials
Although patio furniture chairs are made of many different materials, the most common materials that are used are iron, wood and plastic. The different materials are used to achieve different looks. Obviuosly, all three materials have different weights. These products also will need to be cared for differently and will take various amounts of time to do that.

2. Durability
Durability is a great question for you to answer before going to purchase your new patio furniture chairs. If you are at a resort or country club, you may need to move the patio furniture chairs often to set-up for different functions. In addition, in theory more people will be using the outdoor furniture than if it was purchased for a home. You may not have the budget to turn around and purchase new patio furniture every couple of years. If you purchase an iron product, it will last you a long time and you can still change the look of it by simply replacing the cushions on the patio chairs.

You will also need to take into consideration what part of the country that you are in and think about the hot and cold temperatures, rainfall and humidity.

3. The Look
The look is also considered the design. This can be highly influenced by the material that the patio furniture that you already have in place are made. Obviously, the wood will give you a different look than iron or PVC pipe. Breaking it down even farther, you can have different looks depending on the wood that you use. Iron can also have different finishes to give it different looks. It will be important to take the current furniture that you are using before deciding on your new purchase. Of course, this is not important if you are starting from scratch and buying everything brand new.

Buying new patio furniture chairs can be fun as long as you have already done your homework. With all of the available materials available to the manufacturers, the options are endless and you can use your imagination to create your perfect patio furniture chairs and a great living space in your home or the proper presentation at your resort or country club.

Why Does My Club Need A Launch Monitor?

My golf pro has been hounding me to purchase a launch monitor the last few years. What are the advantages to the membership employing a launch monitor into our operation?

1. A golf swing launch monitor will give and or your students a starting point or a baseline. These numbers are what the student will base their improvement on later. Simply put, they can track their results.

2. The unit can help you validate that the golf equipment that the student is using is the correct equipment for them. During a club fitting, we all have had the guy who is not young anymore standing in front of them and he insists that he has always hit a stiff staff and that is what he needs. With a monitor, you do not have to be the bearer of bad news. The machine is and now you can put him in something in accordance with the student's current skill level.

3. Using golf swing launch monitors, your students can refine their short game distance control & consistency by mastering their 1/2 and 3/4 wedge shots. This process is known as gapping. This is mainly for your better players but you will be surprised at how many mid handicaps can improve their game with this knowledge. Your students will have the opportunity to improve their distance control and consistency with their driver as well as their irons.

4. You or your students can use the personal launch monitors for on-course playing lessons. This helps a few different ways. First now that you know how far each club goes, the student can better understand course management and make better decisions. Second, as we all know the swing changes on the golf course. In addition it may change after playing some holes as the student becomes tired. Even though they are usually like little kids and will never admit it.

5. Information from a higher end golf launch monitor will allow your student to relate to the club head at impact to actual ball flight. Most of these monitors come with computer software that also tracks the club head through impact. The student can then compare that to the ball flight to increase the learning curve as they are able to track the improvement of ball striking efficiency and solidness of hit with virtually every club in the bag.

Under Counter Wine Coolers

Depending on the type of wine you are selling at the club, some wines are more sensitive than others about such factors as temperature, exposure to UV light, unsettling of sediments and cork shrinkage. Although, collecting wine sounds complicated and more importantly expensive, you can find very effective under counter wine coolers from Magic Chef or you can purchase a higher end unit from Beverage Air. Of course the pricing of the under counter wine coolers will depend on how many bottles you will be storing in the unit.

When making the purchase, keep in mind we tend to keep more bottles than we think and usually for not much more you can have a larger unit that will give you ample space for your collection. Many collectors underestimate the amount of wine they actually collect, often needing two to three times the space they planned for. Capacity listings on individual models are gross capacities--you may have to do some creative arranging to actually fill your cooler to capacity. Larger or smaller than normal bottles will also alter net capacity. Also be sure to check the shelving options of the under counter wine coolers that you are comparing. You will have more options with removable shelves to store your investments.

Are you going to collect red wine, white wine or both? This is an important question to ask as you are looking at under counter wine coolers as they need to be stored at different temperatures. Many manufacturers offer units that have temperature controls. These units will keep one side of the unit a perfect temperature for red wines and the other side of the unit perfect for white wines.

Under counter coolers are made to match many different decorating styles and personalities. In addition, the look will also be determined where the unit is placed. Many under counter wine coolers can also be free standing units. This gives you the flexibility to use them in your kitchen, home bar, outdoor kitchen or even your basement. You will also want to look into the security features of the unit as well. A lock and key system come with most units to help you keep the members and employees honest.

Allow your members to enjoy a great wine collection at the club for years to come, be sure that what you buy at protects your collection from temperature extremes, vibration, too much or too little humidity, light and air.

Retail Sales Planogram

Having a background in food and beverage, I am trying to learn as much as I can about the golf operations side of the business. Can you talk about a retail sales planogram? I would like to know such things as: What is a retail planogram, can you use this in a golf shop and how often should it change?

A golf shop planogram will contain useful information such as where the most popular brands of a certain product will be placed as well as show you the quantity variations of a certain product. For example, if you have a staple best seller you may not want it front and center as you know people will go to find it. This will allow you to feature another brand that may have a better margin associated with it.

The planogram my staff develops will tell us what we should stock and which sizes/colors work best for our store; recommend merchandising tactics like how much space we should allocate to each product; offer insights into the type of customers that buy the products and their motivation for buying; and offer ideal store layouts based on this information. We come up with a seasonal planogram. This meaning we develop four in a year to change the look of our golf shop quarterly. Depending on the type of facility you are at you may need more or you may need less depending on your traffic and what type of traffic it is.

Using the information can really help a country club golf shop or retail golf shop to identify which are the best products to stock from each category and to improve the layouts and merchandising to its members and guests. This will result in mire sales, a better bottom line and most importantly happy members.
