As exercise has become an important part of many of our lives, many golfers have decided to use a golf push cart to help them achieve their overall fitness goals. Using a push pull cart allows you to walk during your round of golf without carrying a golf bag. Many golfers can walk the golf course however cannot when you add the weight of the bag.

Many manufacturers offer many different models. These would include what we will call a manual cart and the others are electric carts.

The manual golf cart is a golf push cart in which you literally push around the golf course. It is powered by you. The golf push carts that are now available are not the two-wheeled pull carts that your dad used to drag around the golf course. Current models are mostly constructed with three wheels for good balance and stability. Pushing the cart in front of you is much more ergonomic and better on your body as opposed to pulling a cart behind you. Most manufacturers also allow you to adjust the height of the handle which allows you to be as comfortable as possible during your round of golf.

The manufactures have also created a new market know as golf push cart accessories. This accessories category includes items that will hold a water bottle so that you can stay properly hydrated during your round. Some manufactures also offer an attachment that will allow you to carry a sand bottle. This will allow you to take care of the golf course by placing sand in the divots that you make during your trip around the links. Many of the manufacturers also include an attachment that allows you to hold a scorecard and a pencil so you can keep your score and as well as any stats.

Electric golf push carts are also available. These carts have a small battery that provides electricity to the cart. Many units can move down the fairway alongside of you as you walk. When these units were first unveiled, many times the batteries did not last very long. This unfortunately stranded many golfers on the course with their staff bag or cart bag strapped to the electric push cart. Over the past few years, these units have greatly improved and do not have the amount of trouble as they used to have.

Depending on the type of golf push cart you are looking to purchase, the price points have a large variation. Some golf carts can be expensive. High quality electric golf carts will be the most expensive. Since the market for golf carts is so large, it is possible to find great deals on a wide selection of models. Several manufacturers must compete with each other, making better products and selling them for less than their competitors.
