Stand Bag

I am looking at joining a linkup2golf group this year. I am very excited about learning the game and buying a new stand bag. Learning golf is something that I have always wanted to do but have not been able to as I have been raising my children. Can you give me some information on a stand bag before I purchase one?

As you will be in the market to purchase a golf bag, to get started we would suggest looking at a stand bag. A stand golf bag will give you the most versatility out of what is available. Stand bags are also known as carry bags and is sometimes referred to as a Sunday bag. It is versatile as you can use it to walk the golf course or you can strap it to a golf cart and using it as a cart golf bag.

A stand bag can offer just as many features as any other type of golf bag. Depending on which manufacturer makes the bag, the carry bag can have up to nine pockets. This really more pockets than you will ever need because if you fill all of them the stand golf bag would be too heavy to carry anyway! haha You will have pockets for your golf balls, tees and ball makers. Depending on the model, you can even have a pocket for your cell phone or a water bottle.

One hint that we would give you is to try on the stand golf bag before you buy one. Even if you are going to buy online, go to a local golf shop and try on the bag with a full set of clubs in the bag. Adjust the straps as you would if it was your bag and you were walking the golf course. Make sure it is comfortable for you and like trying on a pair of shoes, walk around with it on your back.
