9 Things To Bring To Golf School
How much should you improve over a three or four day golf school and what should you bring? Your golf school expectations should be modest and do not expect to extremely cut your handicap after attending a 3 day golf school. This is just an unrealistic goal after such a short period of instruction. Remember the adage if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. With this being said, set your golf school expectations accordingly. If the golf school is guaranteeing you to cut your handicap in half, be very wary.
A golf school is a good beginning to start your improvement. When you set your golf school expectations you will want to make sure to include the plan to sustain your strengths and improve your weaknesses after the golf school is over. This should be a comprehensive plan for all aspects of your game. Upon you return, you will have a good base or plan to go to work on with your local PGA professional.
In figuring out your golf school expectations, what should you do prior to your arrival to your golf school? Depending on how much time you have until you depart for your trip, begin to stretch on a daily basis as soon as possible. Many people will find themselves sore as they will be hitting more golf balls than you typically do. Also be sure to pack the following nine things before you head off to your first golf school:
1. Sun block (and plenty of it)
2. A large comfortable hat with proper sun protection
3. Sun Glasses - polarized
4. Band-Aids or athletic tape
5. At least a dozen golf balls
6. Insect repellent
7. Rain jacket and rain pants
8. Umbrella
9. Comfortable golf shoes and extra pairs of socks to change at lunch.
And here is an extra - Bring a great attitude to learn something new!
