A Must Have Putting Aid And Putting Instruction Book

Like many weight-loss diets, many people think a putting training aid or a golf instruction book are too good to be true. Many of the ads for golf training aids come along with hefty claims such as being able to knock ten strokes off of your game or by cutting you handicap in half. You have learned that if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. So which training aids or golf books will help you improve your game? Below is a putting aid and a golf book that you can use in unison to improve your putting indoors or out.

1. The Putting Arc Deluxe
Your putting stroke will improve because this golf training aid is based upon natural body movement. This body movement can be quickly learned and repeated. With regular use, the results can be seen in a short period of time. The putter head travels in a perfect circle (radius R). The projection of this circle on the ground is an ellipse in the shape of The Putting Arc Deluxe. The putter is always on plane and the intersection of this plane with the ground is a straight line, the ball/target line. With the Putting Arc Deluxe, the club face is always square to the above plane. In addition, it is only square to the ball target line at the center line of the Putting Arc. You are learning an inside to square to inside putting stroke. In this perfect putting stroke, there is only one moving part. The hands, arms and shoulders rotate as one unit and no manipulation of the hands or arms are required to follow the correct path with a correct clubface.

2. The Art of Putting by Stan Utley
In The Art of Putting, Stan Utley’s golf book outlines his putting fundamentals for players of all levels, from beginners to very skilled. Stan Utley’s easy to understand method will allow you to develop a repeatable stroke. Utley introduces you to the fundamentals of the proper grip, posture, alignment, and stroke. The Art of Putting will give you guidelines for finding the correct putter for you and the type of stroke you have. In addition, how a putt should sound and how to read greens properly. No matter what your current skill level is, Stan Utley keeps his theories easy to read and to implement for all players from beginners to skilled players in The Art of Putting. Everyone can enjoy this easy read instruction book.

We ship from different locations throughout the US allows us to service you in timely manner no matter where you live such as Rancho Cucamonga, California, Allentown, Pennsylvania, San Luis Obispo, California, Queens, New York, Dayton, Ohio, Santa Clarita, California, Colorado Springs, Colorado and Gainsville, Florida.

3 Ways To Improve Your Lag Putting

Are you having trouble with your lag putting? Seems like you just can not get it close? Here are three ways to improve your lag putting while on the practice putting green.

  1. Stroke some putts with your eyes closed. It is okay, you will not hurt naybody! Well, you should not hurt anybody. HAHA. Start with a short putt of three feet just to make sure. You will keep your eyes closed after you strike the putt. Before opening your eyes guess where the ball ended. Did you get it right? This will improve your putting in a hurry.
  2. Underhand balls and make them roll to the hole. It is like bowling wihtout taking the steps. You will need to visualize how the ball will roll just like a real putt. Make sure your follow through is longer than your backswing of your arm and hold your finish until the ball is done rolling.
  3. Take three balls and find a spot 20 feet from the edge of the green. Pick a spot where the collar meets the green and this becomes your target. Stroke putts at this spot. Repeat from 30, 40 and 50 feet. Taking the hole out of the equation, you will be able to focus on the distance.

Are Your Putting In An Arc? You Should Be!!!

Are Your Putting In An Arc? You Should Be!!! says Stan Utley who has worked with many top professionals and beleives that the club should work around you with your spine being the axis of the putting stroke. Using your spine as the "hub" of the wheel, the putter head will move in an arc on its own. In order to move the putter head straight back and straight through or to use the Dave Pelz method, you will have to manipulate the putter. Most golfers find it difficult to be consistent with this method.

A training aid that Stan Utley endorses is The Putting Arc. Clicking on the link will give you all of the technical information on The Putting Arc.

Putting - Where Is Your Weakeness?

Even if you are a good putter, you must have at least one area that you can improve within your putting. If not, you probably would be playing the LPGA or PGA tour. With better putting, you will lower your scores sooner than later.

By acknowledging that this is always room for improvement and tracking your putting, you have already taken the first step to lowering your scores.

Club Fitting - Is It About To Change?

Do you want even more club fitting options to customize your golf clubs? The USGA has granted equipment manufacturers the ability to perhaps sell golf clubs with more adjustable parts. Currently, Callaway and Taylor Made have the market covered with patents on their interlocking shaft/head sysytems. This opportunity would start as early as 2008 with USGA approval of each product on a case-by-case basis.

What does this mean for the average golfer? It could open the door for some major club companies to begin selling their club fitting system componets straight to consumers. In theory, the average golfer could buy multiple golf club shafts or golf club heads to create their own combinations depending on conditions or just because they want to. You could change a shaft for performance or so the color would match your outfit!

Keep your eyes open in 2008 for this trend and see if this trend catches! If you would like to read free articles on how to find a qualified custom club fitter in your area or general club fitting articles.....Read Here

Short Game - Chip Shot - Get The Ball Close

Are you ready to improve your short game with better distance control? Here is a quick short game drill:
  1. In the practice area at your golf course, hit multiple chip shots. Notice the amount of tension that you have in your shoulders, arms and hands during a couple of your good chip shots.

  2. Prior to you hitting your next chip shot, feel the same muscle tension as in the previous good swings. In addition, make the stroke at the same rate as well.

  3. Now hit your next chip shot while reproducing the same rate and muscle tensions that you had in your shoulders, arms and hands in your good swings. The difference on this shot is you will close your eyes at impact of your chip shot.

  4. Keep your eyes closed until the ball stops rolling. Before opening your eyes, create a picture of the putting cup and estimate where you think your golf ball stopped.

  5. Open your eyes and compare the pictures. Were you close?

The more you can do this quick and easy short game drill the better you will become with your distance control and improve your chipping or pitching and in turn lower your scorces.

Top Of The Swing - Where Should Yours Be?

Where is the top of the swing?" You would be surprised at the answers that we have heard over the years! Most amateurs will regurgitate the answer that has been shoved done their throat for a very, very, very long time. The typical answer from an amateur is: the top of the swing is when the club is at parallel. Really? This article will give you the questions that we ask along with the coreect answers. See if you agree with this logic.....Read Here

Putting - Roland Thatcher

Roland Thatcher has been back and forth between the "big"tour and The Nationwide Tour in the last couple of years. When not playing well in the past, Thatcher has struggled with his putting stroke. After going to see Stan Utley about his putting stroke, Roland has improved his putting and is currently on top of the Nationwide Tour's money list going into the final event, the Nationwide Tour Championship.

With Thatcher not playing up to his expectations in the last few weeks, it is very important that he plays well enough to hold on to the number one spot on the Nationwide Tour. Finishing in the top spot would give him a full exemption on the PGA Tour in 2008, just as if he finished in the Top 125 in 2007. Good Luck Roland!
