Do I Really Need To Keep A Golf Journal?

My golf instructor is trying to get me to carry a small golf journal while I play a round of golf. Is it really needed?

It sounds like you have a good golf instructor. Whether you take golf lessons or not, it is important to keep a golf journal or a small notebook (less than a dollar) with you when you practice or play. It is important to note the flight of the golf balls. Do they start by flying to the left or right? Once they get to the top of their flight do they topple forward or to the left or right? What about the trajectory of your golf shots? Are they too low, or too high? Eventually after a couple of rounds of golf, you will start to see tendencies. If you do take lessons, this will be valuable information for your professional. As we all know, the golf ball sometimes tends to fly differently once we are on the golf course.

You will also want to begin keeping simple stats in your golf journal. I do this a lot by using an extra scorecard (free) and using each line for a separate statistic. You will want to keep fairways hit or missed, greens hit or missed, up and downs that are converted and the number of putts that you take on each hole. Again, you will begin to see tendencies form and you will be able where to split up your practice time to improve your scores. In addition, your instructor may find something in your stats that simply is not happening during your golf lessons.

By keeping a simple golf journal with some of these easy suggestions along with others that you will come up with in your own, you will begin to see good and bad patterns forming. With this information, you can improve your weaknesses and lower your handicap.

How To Improve With A Golf Instruction DVD

You now have bought a golf instruction DVD. Do you know how to get the most out of it? If not it is ok, here is how to get the most out of a golf instruction DVD:

Golf Instruction DVD – The first time that you watch the DVD, Just simply watch it and enjoy it. Do not try to take every little morsel of information that you can out of it the very first time that you watch it. This is not as easy as it sounds to do as again we all want to improve as fast as we can. However keep in mind the first sentence said “The first time that you watch the DVD.” Look at your new purchase as a long term investment into improving your golf game.

Golf Instruction DVD – The second time that you watch the information is when you want to get down and dirty with the information presented to you. Get yourself into a quiet place with a note book and take notes or create an outline of what the instructor is attempting to get across. The better that you understand the information at this point the better you will be able to implement it into your game.

Golf Instruction DVD – Take this information and create a plan of attack for your golf game. Now that you have taken notes and the information has sunk in a little more, how will it benefit you? Will it benefit you? I have watched different golf lesson DVDs and upon completion of the previous steps decided that that information did not work into my theory or system. This does not mean that it was a waste! I then knew that that info did not work for me and I did not have to waste my time on it any more in the future and would not travel down that road again.

Golf Instruction DVD – It is now time for the fun part. It is now time to go to the lab, oh sorry, the driving range, to test what you have come up with in your plan of attack. Again take notes of what does work and what does not work for you and your golf swing. This will give you the building blocks that you will need to build a system that works for you. This is very important to understand as we are not all built the same, come with different amounts of flexibility and are all wired differently.

How To Find A Golf Travel Bag

If you are getting ready to go on a golf vacation and need to look at travel golf cases or a golf travel bag for your golf bag, what are the features that would be essential to you in a golf travel bag? Make a list of then jot down the features that would be "nice to have" and another list of features that are a "must have." The level of protection that you will need will be determined by the type of golf vacation you will be taking as well as the golf vacations you may take in the future. If your future golf vacations are only a drive away, then your needs will be more in the lines of just a soft travel golf case. If you will be traveling by bus, train or with an airline and you are not handling your own bag, it is highly suggested to go with more protection as typically the bag handlers do not care as much about your golf clubs as you do.

Most people who buy golf travel bags take road trips as well as fly. These golfers are regular golfers who like to take their clubs with them when they go on vacation and not rent a set while on their golf vacations from the respective golf course. You need a high degree of protection when flying, since your clubs have to be protected by the rough handling they can get on and off the aircraft. Again, the bag handlers do not care as much about your golf clubs as you do.

Keep in mind while you are looking at new golf travel cases, you also need something that will be fairly easy to get in and out of the trunk. Your golf bag will also need to comfortably fit inside the cover, along with any other contents such as golf shoes, rain suit, golf clothes, etc. that you could possibly take with you on a golf trip. If it's only a short trip, you might consider a travel case that could double as a luggage case. Manufacturers such as Izzo, Burton and Club Glove offer golf travel bags that you can fit in a change of clothing and any other overnight kit you need as well as your golf bag and apparel.

How To Learn To Play Golf

I am wanting to learn how to play golf. Are there different ways to learn how to play? Is one beter than another?

Here are three different ways to learn how to play golf. Your learning style will determine which one will suit you the best.

Take An Individual Lesson - There are many other things that you would not attempt to learn yourself. However, everybody thinks that hitting a little white ball can not be that hard so they try it themselves or they have a friend teach them how to play golf. Just as if you are cooking or building a building there are some fundamental things that need to happen so the end result is reached. An individual lesson is the best way to get the most individual attention to your swing and you should see the quickest results. When first learning how to play golf, I would suggest taking thirty minute lessons and not an hour lesson. The reason why is that you will be hearing a lot of new information and you will only be able to process so much of it. The Professional should start with putting and gradually move farther and farther away from the hole. In addition, you will physically be asked to do things that you are not used to doing and you will tire quickly during the early lessons.

Take A Group Clinic - Learning in a group is another way to learn how to play golf. Finding a beginner clinic will place you with other new golfers who are at the same skill level and can turn into your new playing partners. Typically during a group clinic, the instructor will give a presentation to the group and then allow everyone to spread out on the range tee and will spend some individual time with each student. If you like to learn at your own pace this is a good place for you to start. Before you sign up for the clinic, make sure that the clinic will cover all aspects of the game. The clinic should spend time on putting, chipping, pitching, full swing and the rules. This way you are exposed to all aspects of the game. A clinic that goes to the range every meeting is not going to do you much good once you get your golf ball up and around the green. What do you do then? Learning how to putt and chip is very important when you are first learning how to play golf as more than 50% of your shots will be considered short game shots. Learning these shots will be the quickest way to lower your scores.

Read Golf Books – A third way to learn how to play golf is to teach yourself the game through reading golf instruction books, watching golf instruction DVDs as well as actual trial and error. Obviously this will take the longest to master. However, if score is not your main objective and gaining more exercise or spotting nature during your round is more important to you then this is (by far) the most inexpensive route to take.

Benefits Of A Zelocity Launch Monitor

I am a teaching professional and have been looking at different launch monitors and trying to decide which launch monitor to use with my teaching. I keep coming back to the Zelocity products. Can you tell me how they will benefit me and my students?

The benefits of a Zelocity Launch Monitor include:

You will generate more revenue by implementing a Zelocity golf ball launch monitor by:

· Instructors have experienced an increased lesson rate for using the Zelocity golf ball launch monitor technology.
· Generating reports such as gapping and consistency reports, session metrics and bag tags, Instructors have created a new fee structure.
· Instructors are renting the PureLaunch, PureFlight and PureContact units to students for practice sessions or renting the Zelocity units to corporate golf outings and corporate golf events.

Soft Travel Cover

I am looking at purchasing a soft travel cover in the near future. Will you outline some pros and cons of a soft travel cover for me. With the type of traveling that I am going to be doing I believe it will be sufficient for me.

Okay let's talk about a soft golf travel bag. It is typically made of a canvas type material and padded on the inside and they have a hard bottom to protect your golf bag. In addition, these type of bags have wheels to help golfers transport their gear from location to location.

Advantages to soft golf travel bags include that you can also carry other golf gear. Many soft golf travel bags, such as the Izzo golf travel bags or Burton golf travel bags, allow you to have extra room with the interior pockets within the bag that allow you to pack golf shoes, clothes or other golf accessories. In addition, this type of a golf travel bag will break down for easy storage in your hotel room or at home while you are waiting to go on your next golf trip.

Another advantage to a soft travel cover is the weight. In today’s climate, the airlines are very quick to charge you extra money for any extra weight that you will be bringing onto the airplane. A soft travel cover would be your lightest choice.

In contrast, some people do not think that these bags give you as much protection for the club heads as a hard golf case. In my experience, I have not found this to be true. I take my golf towel and weave it throughout the shafts to give some extra protection along with the padding. Again, I have never had a problem with a golf shaft breaking while on a golf trip. If you are not comfortable with this, then you can purchase a "stiff arm" golf travel accessory.

3 Easy Mental Golf Tips To Lower Your Handicap

I am looking to improve my mental golf game. I believe that is where I need to improve the most in order to improve my handicap. Can you give me two or three quick tips that could help me lower my handicap by improving my mental golf game?

Although these golf tips may seem too simple, these three mental golf tips will help you accomplish your goal of lowering your handicap.

· Mental Golf Tip – One easy thing that you can monitor is your walking pace. Again, this is a very effective way to calm yourself down and you can monitor your walking pace at anytime. Although most of us guys would rather go to an insurance seminar than to go to the mall, you might earn some bonus points with the spouse by going to the mall and walking. On your mall walk, you would be able to monitor what is a slow pace, what is a comfortable pace and what is a fast pace. In addition, try walking at different paces during the day and monitor how your body feels at the different rates.

· Mental Golf Tip - Focus on your pre-shot routine. Once you have a pre-shot routine ingrained then this is a good way to click into auto-pilot. It is critical that your pre-shot routine is repetitive and does not waver. A change could cause anxiety and mis-trust in your golf swing.

· Mental Golf Tip - Picturing a calm place such as a beach or a lake will also calm you down. This may sound a little corny to some but, it works. It is probably my favorite golf psychology tip. We visit my in-laws from time to time. They live in the middle of Kentucky horse country. It makes it easy to relax away from the usual city life. To give you a clearer picture, in this particular county you may only purchase land in five acre plots or more. While we are there, I walk everyday and there is a big barn that sits on tops of a hill in the distance. These walks are very relaxing. The Kentucky quarter happens to have a picture on the back of the coin that reminds me of that barn that I look at on my walk. When I mark my ball with a Kentucky quarter, I am able to remember my relaxing walks and I can feel my body relax right there on the putting green. You need to find your place whether it is the beach for you, your back yard or a sunset. The point is it does not really matter as long as it relaxes you.

Good Luck and let us know how your improvement goes!

Training Aid For My Alignment

I am having trouble aiming when I line up to make my shot. I feel like I am making a good swing but the ball does not go anywhere close to where I thought that it would. Can you give me any suggestions for a training aid that could help me with this?

This is a VERY common challenge for all handicaps. Many of the lessons that The Wireless Golf Coach gives, start out by asking the student where they are aiming. It is surprising how many times where they are literally aiming does not match what they tell me. THE PRACTICE T is the golf practice tool that I use to help my student make sure that they can take dead aim. This practice aid allows you to build the perfect setup before every swing that you take on the range.

When I am practicing by myself or getting ready for a golf lesson with a student, I can set up The Practice T in less than one minute and is easy to set up for use. Another benefit is that without resetting the golf training aid, you can easily change where you place the ball by simply sliding the opposite bar. This allows you to make sure that you have the correct ball position with the correct alignment and do not have to keep digging deeper in the same divot. In addition, you can make sure that your shoulders are correct by using the mirror. You will have greater control and consistency with every club.

This is the practice tool that will help you build the perfect setup. This golf training aid is easy to set up while you are practicing and you can easily secure THE PRACTICE T in the ground with just golf tees. The practice unit also includes a mirror so you can ensure your shoulders are aligned properly to your target. You will have greater control and consistency with every golf club.

Holiday Golf Gift Idea

My husband LOVES the Masters Golf Tournament. Every year our house stops for that weekend. Do you have a related stocking stuffer type holiday golf gift idea that I could give him this year?

A great stocking stuffer or a holiday golf gift idea is a Masters DVD. For example, he could watch the exciting highlights of the historical 2003 Masters. Every year, the excitement for this historical event mounts and all eyes focus on Augusta, Georgia. This year was no exception as the top pros battled it out. The nail-biting climax came down to Mike Weir and Len Mattice. Watch while Mike Weir hits precision iron and wedge shots to prevail in a playoff. The 2003 Masters Golf DVD will not disappoint you.

The Masters just seeps tradition everywhere that you look. It is tradition that the first full week of April is when the tournament is played on the PGA Tour schedule. It is the first of the four "majors" to be played each year. What makes The Masters unique is unlike other major championships, the Masters is held every year at the same location, the Augusta National Golf Club. This gives the tournament a very rich sense of history as all of the greats from Bobby Jones to Arnold Palmer to Jack Nicklaus have walked the hallowed grounds of the country club.

A more coveted tradition than even collecting the large paycheck that comes from winning the tournament is the traditional gift of the green jacket. This tradition began in 1949. The green sport coat is the official attire worn by members of Augusta National while on the club grounds. With winning the golf tournament, each winner becomes an honorary member of the club.Another tradition is the Champions' Dinner. The Champions' dinner is held each year on the Tuesday evening preceding Thursday's first round. The dinner was first held in 1952, hosted by defending champion Ben Hogan. At that time fifteen tournaments had been played, and the number of past champions was eleven, including Hogan.

Your husband will love this holiday golf gift but you may not be able to get him away from the TV for awhile! HAHA

Info On Handheld Golf GPS Systems

Can you give me some info on the handheld GPS golf units that are available?

A number of different options are available when it comes to handheld Golf GPS devices, such as the Izzo Swami 1500. They come in a variety of sizes and offer different features. Some features include keeping the user aware of the distance from targets while on the course, showing this length with one push of a button. The system shows the golfer any hazards or trees that are in the path of his or her drive. Certain systems may show hazards such as front, center, and back of the green, sand bunkers, water traps, lay-ups, and carries. For even easier access to the GPS information, there are some cell phones that can act as the handheld Golf GPS unit with the right program.

A competing technology to the handheld Golf GPS unit is the laser rangefinder or yardage finder. One advantage of the laser rangefinder is that it does not require any course data. A Golf GPS unit needs the information from that particular course loaded into the unit. A disadvantage of laser rangefinders, however, is the time needed to use it effectively. Many times, it takes some time to properly aim the yardage finder at the target. Additionally, you will need to “shoot” the target several times before the unit will lock in on the target and give you the proper information. A handheld golf GPS is a much easier and faster system to use.

For anyone that holds an interest in improving their golf score, a handheld Golf GPS unit, such as the Izzo Swami, is an item that should catch their interest, and people that love golf appreciate them. With the information provided by a handheld Golf GPS device, the strokes are almost guaranteed to fall from your game.

Golf Can Be Fun For Younger Kids

I have two young children. I would like to get them involved in the game of golf. However I see my friends forcing their kids to play and forcing them to like it. I want my kids to play golf because they want to play. Do you have any suggestions on how to keep the game fun for them at younger ages?

Sure we do! Here you go and let us know if you have any other questions!

1. Before you start, agree with the junior golfer on what the "max score" per hole will be. This can also make each golf hole fun by making it a game. It is very important not to make a big deal if the max is hit and making the junior feel inadequate. Both the adult and the junior needs to remember "it is just a game"

2. In addition, before you start to play, determine what their "personal par" will be for every hole you will be playing. As the junior improves obviously the "personal par" will go down.

3. Go out with your junior in "non-peak" hours. At some courses this is easier to do than others. This will take the pressure off of everybody at a certain pace.

4. The hole does not need to be the target to end the hole. What does this mean? Some smaller juniors find it more fun to hit it into a bunker than onto a green. This may seem counter-intuitive to many golf purists however, once you think about it, typically the bunkers are smaller than the putting greens. This can only make them better later. In addition, they LOVE to climb into the bunkers and this gives us a chance to teach bunker etiquette.

5. Depending on their age or skill level, allow them to "tee it up" from the 100 or 150 yard marker on all the par fours and par fives to begin the hole. This is not as daunting for them and will help keep the group moving around the golf course.

The Right Touch Training Aid - Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions about The Right Touch golf swing trainer:

Does the length of The Right Touch probe fit everyone? (Kids, Tall, and Overweight)

Answer: YES With the test that we performed on the ModelPro, we were able to determine that the slot position is the same distance away from the body, no matter the shape and size of the golfer. The golfer still has to have the right arm (or left arm for left-handed golfers) come close to the side of the body.

Will I gain distance using The Right Touch?

Answer: YES The Right Touch golf swing trainer will teach a golfer to make a correct weight transfer, correct swing path and make a full finish. Implementing these corrections will create increased distance by teaching the golfer to use their body and arms correctly.

I am very overweight - will this golf swing trainer work for me?

Answer: YES After testing this golf swing trainer on many different golfers, we found that The Right Touch golf training aid works very well for overweight golfers. Most overweight golfers tend to swing their arms around and over the top of their belly. Using The Right Touch golf training aid, the golfer will learn to clear the hips first so that their arms will swing down the correct swing path.

Where exactly do I put The Right Touch?

Answer: The golf practice aid should be placed on your belt line in front of your hip bone, so that when you look down, the The Right Touch Probe points down the center of your thigh.

If I am still pulling the shot or slicing the shot using The Right Touch, what did I do wrong?

Answer: You have this golf training aid too close to your belt buckle. The reason that The Right Touch golf training aid works every time is that it can be moved around the belt line to accommodate any amount of slice or pull. Just move the probe further away from the center and more out on the hip. After some practice, you will find the perfect spot on your body to create great shots all the time.

3 Things You MUST Do When You Are Chipping

Most players do not spend enough time on their chipping. They all want lower scores but do not spend their practice time chipping the golf ball. Instead, they stand on the range and beat drivers. Even if they perfect this club, which is impossible, they will only use it a maximum of 14 shots a round! Why spend that much time on it? Is the goal not to get the ball in the hole as fast as possible? Here are three things that you should take into account before chipping each shot you do have hit on the golf course:

  1. What does your lie look like? You hear this all of the time, especially on TV. What they are basically referring to is how much of the back of the golf ball can you see or will be able to get the clubface to the ball without any grass interfering between the two. This will be one of the factors that determines whether you end up chipping or pitching the ball onto the putting green.
  2. What is the distance to the putting green and the distance to the hole? You will need to factor the distance off the green as well as the distance from the edge of the green to the flag. Keeping in mind that the ball will be flying low and rolling out quite a ways once it hits the green, the farther off the green you find yourself then the more green you will need to work with on the shot.
  3. If the ball does not go in the hole after chipping, where do I want the ball to finish? There are really two sides to this. Most players understand that you want to have the ball stop close to the hole. True. However, what most players do not understand is that you also would like to have the remainder be and UPHILL putt. Why? Would you want a three foot uphill or a three foot downhill putt? Without question, the answer is I want an uphill putt.

5 Tips For A Good Pre-Shot Routine

Your pre-shot routine should reflect your personality and regular pace. As you construct your pre-shot routine be sure to include:

1. Gather all the information that you are going to need prior to selecting the club that you are going to hit. Especially as we play a familiar course, make sure you gather the correct yardage, wind, recent temperature changes as well as the type of lie you have been left with.

2. What type of shot are you going to play? Playing a hook or a slice can change the yardage your golf ball will go and in turn change the club that you may need for that shot. Now select your club.

3. Now that you are convinced that you have the correct club in your hand, start from behind the golf ball and see the type of shot you are going to hit. These images that you send to your mind will help your body understand what you are trying to accomplish.

4. Now it is time to eliminate tension. You will see different players do different things to do this. Many players tip their cap or tap the club to their shoe. Fred Couples is famous for pulling on his left shoulder sleeve. Again, this is a very personal thing and is meant to be used to tell your body to relax and it is time to go.

5. Lastly you must, as funny as it sounds, practice your pre-shot routine. You will want it to become second nature to you. You will want it to be consistent so you are not trying to figure it out with the pressure on you. This will allow you will to be on auto pilot and just play the shot.

A pre-shot routine can make a big difference in your score as if you think your way around the golf course you will be better able to manage your mind and allow it to hit the golf shot that is needed for the situation.

7 Things That Should Be In Your Golf Fitness Program

In finding a golf fitness program for yourself, you will want to evaluate it for the following seven points:

1) The golf fitness program that you choose must offer several variations. For Example: A long version for regular training days and a short version for Pre-Round Stretching. A few variations with the large exercise ball should also be included (extremely important for the golfer) along with a couple of golf club stretches to do just before tee-off and between holes if necessary.

2) The golf fitness program should be thorough - addressing the head and neck all, the way down to the feet. Remember, the golf swing is a full body movement.

3) It must follow a symetrical protocol - the true key to maintaining optimal muscle/tendon/joint balance on both sides of the body. This allows for enhanced golf swing power without a large increase in swing effort. And this is also very important to chronic and acute injury prevention - and hence fitness and playing longevity.

4) It must include several key compound stretches - stretches that elongate several joint areas at the same time - mimicking natural movement patterns. Allowing the golfer to be more accurate through enhanced fitness flexibility, body awareness & control.

5) The golf fitness program must be realistic & easy to do for golfers at any fitness level with no equipment except for a stretching floor mat (and an exercise ball for certain stretches).

6) It must include a series of single or double joint golf stretching exercises. The effects of these stretches increase exponentially when the specific body movement requires several of these joints to move in coordination with each other (ie - the golf swing).

7) At last the golf fitness program should feel good - especially afterward. This type of stretch routine should make you feel as if your posture is immediately better & you should feel stronger - just because your body moves so much easier & more fluidly. You should almost feel like you could rip the cover off a ball if you were to hit one right after your golf fitness stretch routine.

College Golf Bag Straps

Most golfers are huge sports fans and will go to any end to support their favorite college team. Izzo Golf has allowed the golfer to bring this collegiate support to any carry bag or stand bag with the dual college strap.

The dual college strap for your carry bag or stand bag is easy to put on your shoulders with the patented rotator straps that keep the strap circumference long and accessible. It is also easy to take off as the material used to produce the golf strap is will slide off of your shoulders smoothly. In addition, the college bag strap can quickly be adjusted and is easy to adjust even while you have your golf bag on your shoulders.

Let’s face it. Walking a golf course is the best way to play the great game of golf. This method allows you to get the most exercise from your round as well as it allows you to take your time and enjoy the beauty that surrounds you on the course as well. The Izzo college bag strap allows you to do just that as the padding is anatomically contoured to your body to carry the weight of your golf stand bag more efficiently and give you more comfort while you walk. This happens because the dual strap automatically distributes the golf bag’s weight over both of your shoulders.

Izzo’s dual strap is quite the invention. Frank Thomas, Technical Director for the USGA proclaimed the IZZO Dual Strap System as the fourth greatest innovation in modern golf, right behind graphite shafts, the modern golf ball, and metal woods.

Izzo offers the collegiate dual golf bag straps from the following schools:

University of Michigan - Wolverines
Auburn University – AU Tigers War Eagle!
University of Kentucky – UK Wildcats

Penn State University – PSU Nittany Lions
University of Illinois - Fighting Illini

University of Tennessee - UT Volunteers
University of North Carolina – UNC Tar Heels
University of Arizona – U of A Wildcats

A Golf GPS Unit

Many of my friends have purchased a golf gps units. Can you give me some info on them and the differences between a gps golf unit and a range finder or yardage finder?

There are many benefits to playing the game with a golf GPS unit. With the information provided, one can know his or her exact distance to the green. This can improve the pace of the game by eliminating the need to step off distances from a yardage marker or using a yardage book for the course. A handheld golf GPS unit can also track golf balls that contain implanted trackers in them, making it impossible to lose another golf ball. It will not always be an easy retrieval, however, since deep water hazards do still exist.

5 Things You Must Have In Your Golf Bag

Here is a quick list of Five things you need to have in your golf bag:

• Sunscreen – Let's face it, no matter what part of the country that you live in, you must protect yourself against the harmful rays of the sun. Even on days that to you are "not that hot." The damaging rays are still getting to your skin. I have seen fair-skinned people turn red on a cloudy day! Check with your doctor on how strong of a SPF you need to protect yourself. Sunscreen now comes in many different forms now to make it easy to carry with you and to apply during your round of golf.

• Golf Hat – Your golf hat will work in conjunction with your sunscreen to protect your skin against damage from the sun. In addition, a golf hat will keep the sweat out of your eyes on the brutally hot days. Ladies a golf hat will also allow you to keep your hair out of your face whether the wind is blowing or not. This is not very big and easiliy stores in a golf bag.

• Baggie for Golf Gloves – These is an easy and cheap way to make your golf gloves last longer. Keeping your golf gloves in a baggie will keep them all in one place and with the baggie sealed your golf gloves will last longer.

Golf Training Aids – This is obviously easier to do if you are riding in a golf cart and have a cart bag or a staff bag. It also depends on the golf training aids that you are using. For example, if you are using an extra shaft to work on your turn, the weight will not bother you even if you are walking and carrying your bag. Conversely, some of the putting training aids get vary bulky and would be difficult to fit into a golf bag.

• Ball Markers – If you are like me I use loose change as my ball makers. I like using the quarters of the states that I have visited. Goofy, I know but it keeps me off the streets. HAHA It always seems I need extra change around the club as well. You might collect ball markers from the golf courses that you have played and a second baggie will help keep them in one place and not damage them as well.

Swiss Exercise Ball As A Golf Exercise Ball

A golf exercise ball, also known as a stability ball or a Swiss exercise ball, is an inflatable ball used during workouts as an alternative piece of exercise equipment. No matter what your personal goals may be at the gym, you can achieve them quickly and more efficiently substituting the Swiss exercise ball for the conventional exercise bench.

Proper Back Alignment
This piece of equipment is used in conjunction with physical rehabilitation programs to relieve back pain by strengthening and developing core body muscles. While in use, the Swiss exercise ball creates balance instability. As a result, your back will constantly maneuver itself to seek stability which will strengthen back muscles and properly align your spine.

Ultimate Abs
Because the ball requires your back muscles and abdominal muscles to work together, the exercises you would normally perform on the floor or work bench double in efficiency.

Stretching
Exercise styles such as Yoga and Pilates, focus on stretching your muscles which will, in turn, both tone and define them. Additionally, stretching your muscles will keep joints from tightening which can limit mobility at a later stage in life.

Core Stability
Core stability involves all of the muscles of the mid-section and provides you with the support necessary to properly complete activities from minor daily activities to more advanced activities.

Lose Weight and Feel Great
An added bonus to incorporating the Swiss exercise ball to your workout program is the weight loss that accompanies targeting your body’s core. When you perform exercises that strengthen your muscles, body fat is burned in the process.

The feeling of working out is replaced with a sense of play and the results are amazing. You don’t need to be an expert to perform the moves designed for the golf exercise ball which allows beginners and advanced users to enjoy the ball equally.
